Goats at Sibly - Oil Painting, Framed

We got lucky this day and goats were working the side of a hill at Sibly Volcanic Regional Preserve. The ranger stopped to talk to us and they said they hire herders from Argentina to come in and herd the goats, since there is a shortage of people able to heard goats in the US. They do this for land management and maintenance to prevent wild fires. I put in Black Philip, he was the nicest goat.

This painting was shown at Studios 11 in Oakland In September 2023 for my solo show, Floating World.
